Halls Kansas City

A few years ago, this iconic brick-and-mortar store presented us with the challenge of reimagining the brand from the inside out, starting with inspiration for the store’s style experts and buyers. The “See Yourself in Halls” platform was introduced to consumers as part of the 2018 Fall Style Event and Fashion Show, then integrated into print, signage, eblasts and direct mail.


For the 2019 Fashion Show, Halls incorporated a charity component for the first time. Thanks to themed social media, a poster-sized invitation, targeted eblasts and local news appearances, VIP tickets sold out quickly. The show was standing room only, and the shopping event afterward was a giant success.

The new brand voice is paying dividends in email, print and online. Our social and creative teams more than tripled their Instagram followers within a few months, and created a social media playbook that helped store employees replicate the brand voice. Meanwhile, we continued to make a splash for holidays and seasonal events.
